Fullers Equipped for Delayed Euros 2020

Founded in 1845 the beginning of the Fuller’s Brewery began to sprout, with an extensive history in partnerships and a growth in popularity.

Today Fuller’s stands tall with around 400 locations covering the South of England consisting of pubs and hotels which host live music, sporting events, comedy clubs, salsa nights, Open Bar Theatre, and more. Fullers achieved the award for Champion Beer of Britain, making them the first brewery to win.

Comcen has worked alongside Fuller’s on several projects covering a variety of services. Assisting on the opening of new pubs and kitting out hotels with the technology they desire, from large format screens, laptops and PCs, headsets, EPOS scanners to the old style retro analogue Victorian phones. As well as working closely with the pub managers and deploying PCs and laptop devices. Comcen have covered technology to specialty coffees.

A great relationship was built from an understanding on purchase history, knowledge on what the customer prefers , and accommodating quotation needs easily. Karen works closely with Fuller’s IT team and have built trust, by going the extra mile.

During the pandemic when there was a global shortage of TV screens, Comcen managed to source and secure the best products and saved Fuller’s time. Additionally, Karen secured supported pricing from LG to help Fuller’s save money as part of Comcen’s Account Managing service.

Also providing the service of scheduling direct deliveries to each pub, including next day delivery, and liaising with FULLER AV Integrators CBV DATANET who specialise in home automation, video over IP, digital signage and structured cabling. Clive and his team liaised with Comcen every step of the way to ensure Installs were all done on schedule and both made sure the correct kit was at each location prior to the Install dates. Resulting in a successful Project!, it ensured an efficient and smooth service.

Euros Fuller’s project

In June 2021 when lockdown was raised, and people could gather once again, the Euros provided an opportunity to celebrate.

Comcen provided extra TV screens to Fullers pubs for customers to watch the Euros, consisting of:

Comcen was awesome, we/Fullers put Karen our Account Manager under immense pressure and Karen was great throughout always cheery! We received client signoff on the 1st June 2021 10 days before the first group stage matches on the 11th June. Our brief was to have high priority Pubs ready to show the Euros home nations matches starting with Wales on the 12th June.

Karen was able to source and ring fence a mixture of 55"- 75" indoor and outdoor screens. Communication was great, we were under pressure to deliver and Karen from Comcen came through for us. In the rush to deliver some screens arrived damaged, Karen was able to manage logistics and get them replaced. As England progressed through the competition more pubs were requesting screens to show the game. We were installing screens right up until the Final with Italy.

Comcen took a lot of pressure off us, they were able to source displays and wall brackets at short notice, Karen assisted with just-in-time deliveries and allowed us to get on with what we do best! Integrate smart technology.

Working with Fuller’s and supplying them with new high-quality screens provides public enjoyment where live sports can be appreciated. From the challenging years prior, entertainment has become crucial in the hospitality industry to lift the spirits of the public.

The Peerless Extreme Outdoor displays ensure public gatherings in a covid safe environment and to accommodate those who prefer to watch outdoors. LG screens with high resolution encourages customers and fans to return to watch future live sporting events, and screens they can rely on. Fuller’s supplying BT Sport and Sky sports, it is only fitting that they have screens to enhance game footage.

From the Euros leading to the rugby Autumn Internationals, the screens are being viewed and enjoyed by like-minded people all coming together to celebrate, from the work between Fuller’s and Comcen.
